Latin percussion Head Brazilian Nauga for LP3512 Rebolo / LP3514 Tantan - Smooth White

Product Description

Original replacement head from Latin Percussion for the LP3512 Rebolo and LP3514 Tantan, in Smooth White finish with the LP logo printed on. The Nauga head is double-layered and filters out unwanted overtones, a construction made specifically for Brazilian percussion.

This is LP's original head for the Rebolo and Tantan, giving the instruments exactly the controlled, dampened tone they're built for. The head has an outer Mylar layer and an inner foam rubber layer (black, approx. 1 mm). It's the foam rubber layer that filters out the unwanted overtones. Nauga heads are unique on the market and are used exclusively on the LP Rebolo, LP Pandeiro, LP Tantan and LP Surdo, all of which ship with this head type from the factory.

Nauga Technology

The double-layer construction (Mylar outside, foam rubber inside) was developed specifically for Brazilian music and gives the instrument a darker, more controlled tone than a standard single-ply head.

Fit

The rim measures identical to Remo drum set heads in the respective size, making mounting and replacement straightforward if you're used to regular drum heads. The head is available in 12" and 14" to match your instrument.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want to replace a worn original head on your Rebolo or Tantan while keeping the same dampened overtone character the instruments are built around.
