Product Description
A hand-picked 7" Macho bongo head from Latin Percussion, made from untanned buffalo hide and designed for LP's Traditional and X Series bongo rims (T-X Rims) in the corresponding size. A solid choice when your original head has worn out and you want the same factory sound and feel back.
The head is supplied as a single 7" bongo head, hand-picked among LP's premium heads for consistent quality between units. Thickness is approximately 1 mm and head height is approximately 30 mm when new, giving a full tone with a clear, well-defined response when struck.
Fit and sizing
The hoop determines the outer diameter of the head, while the stated size refers to the crown diameter at the bearing edge. LP bongo heads share the same crown diameter regardless of hoop type, and the stated sizes are harmonized with Remo's sizing system for congas. If your LP bongos are 5 1/2", 7 1/4" or 8 5/8", use heads in size 5 1/4", 7" or 8.5" respectively. Not the same number as the shell size.
