Product Description
Hand picked bongo head from Latin Percussion, LP1964 Hembra, 8 1/4". Made of untanned buffalo hide, this premium head gives the bongo proper response and tone right from the start.
This is one of LP's hand picked premium heads, where each head is individually selected for consistent quality between units. The head is approximately 1 mm thick and has a head height of approximately 30 mm when new.
The head fits all LP Traditional and X Series bongo rims in the corresponding size. The LP1964 shell has a slightly smaller shell diameter than standard, but the quality and properties of the head are identical to LP's regular hand picked bongo heads.
Note that the stated head size refers to the crown diameter (the largest shell diameter of bongos and djembes), in line with how Remo sizes their conga heads. For LP bongos with shell sizes 5 1/2", 7 1/4" or 8 5/8", use heads in size 5 1/4", 7" and 8.5" respectively.
