Latin percussion Cyclops Shaker Large - Smoke

Product Description

The Cyclops Shaker from Latin Percussion is a large shaker in smoke-colored high-impact plastic, developed together with groove percussionist Bashiri Johnson. Its shape, derived from the LP Cyclops Tambourine, lets you grip the shaker on the side to play tambourine-type patterns, or use the center grip for a unique sound played on its side.

• Ergonomically designed for comfortable, durable use
• Made from high-impact plastic for long-lasting durability
• Shape derived from the LP Cyclops Tambourine enables tambourine-style grip techniques
• Center grip added for side-playing and a unique sound
• Spring-loaded shaker halves let you vary the sound by opening and closing them
• Can be hit against your free hand for an extra rhythmic pop as the halves meet
• Locking screws let you play it as a regular shaker with a fixed sound

Feel and Sound

Opening and closing the spring-loaded shaker halves lets you vary the sound character freely while playing. Hitting the shaker against your free hand adds an extra rhythmic pop as the halves come together. If you prefer a fixed, consistent sound, simply turn the locking screws and play it as a regular shaker.

Who It's For

A great fit for percussionists who want to vary their shaker sound live or in the studio, and who appreciate being able to switch between shaker and tambourine-style playing techniques in a single instrument.
