Latin percussion CP Traditional
Product Description
This is a genuine replacement head for Latin Percussion's CP221 Traditional Bongos, made from untanned buffalo hide in the thickness and profile the original design calls for. It's the right choice when your current head has worn out and you want the classic LP tone back.
The head is approximately 0.7 mm thick and has a head height of approximately 15 mm when new, giving the rebound and response CP221 bongos are known for. The rim is made specifically for CP221 Traditional rims, so the fit is exact.
The stated size refers to the crown diameter (the largest shell diameter on bongos and djembes) - a measure LP uses to harmonise its sizing with REMO's conga specifications. If you have a 6" or 7" CP bongo, choose the 6.5" or 7 1/4" head respectively - this one is the 7 1/4" head made for the Hembra, the larger of the two bongo drums.
Latin Percussion was founded in 1964 by Martin Cohen and has since supplied percussion instruments to musicians worldwide, from classic salsa to classic rock.
