Latin Percussion's Barril de Bomba is a traditional bomba drum in 16", built from Siam Oak with chrome hardware and classic hoops. It delivers the deep, resonant sound bomba music is built on, and suits players who want to perform Puerto Rican bomba or other Latin rhythms with authentic character.

The shell is made from Siam Oak and paired with traditional hoops and 5/16" tension rods. The hardware is chrome-plated, and the drum comes in a Satin Mavi finish. A bag is included with delivery.

Latin Percussion was founded in 1964 by Martin Cohen, a mechanical engineer from the Bronx who fell in love with Latin Jazz after visiting New York's famous Birdland club. Since Cuban-made bongos were unavailable in the US due to trade embargoes, Cohen used his engineering skills to build his own. That close relationship with performing musicians has shaped the brand ever since, and Latin Percussion instruments are today considered among the world's finest percussion instruments.
