Latin percussion 339A 7" - Brushed Nickel Set of 1

Product Description

Bottom shell for bongo drums from Latin Percussion, made from cast aluminium with a Brushed Nickel finish. It works as an alternative to LP Cuban Bottoms and fits several of LP's own bongo models when you need a replacement bottom shell.

The shell has 4 mounting holes and threading that takes tuning lugs up to 5/16" (8 mm). The size is listed as 7" in the product name, while the manufacturer's exact crown diameter measurement is 7 1/4" (the larger shell in the same range measures 8 1/2" / 8 5/8" per manufacturer information). The shell carries the LP logo.

Latin Percussion has crafted percussion instruments for over half a century and holds patents on hundreds of improvements and new designs for instruments built to meet professional musicians' standards. The company was founded in 1964 by Martin Cohen, a mechanical engineer from the Bronx who, after visiting New York's Birdland jazz club, wanted his own set of bongos but couldn't find high-quality Cuban-made ones due to trade embargoes. So he built his own. Today LP instruments are considered among the world's best within congas, bongos, cowbells, timbales, cajons, shakers and effect percussion.
