Latin percussion 1964 Original, T-X Rims 6 3/4"
Bongo head (LP1964 Original, T-X Rims) in untanned buffalo hide, 6 3/4" (Macho). Hand picked, approx. 1 mm thick.
Product Description
Hand-picked bongo head from Latin Percussion, model LP1964 Original with T-X Rims, in size 6 3/4" (Macho). Made from untanned buffalo hide bearing the LP Original logo, hand-selected to ensure the same consistent quality found across LP's premium heads.
Latin Percussion has crafted percussion instruments for over half a century and is one of the most widely used names in conga and bongo heads. This listing is for the head only. No rim or shell is included.
Construction and dimensions
The head is approximately 1 mm thick with a head height of approximately 30 mm when new. LP1964 shells have a slightly smaller shell diameter, but the quality and properties of the head itself are identical to LP's regular hand-picked bongo heads.
Fit and sizing
The head fits all LP Traditional and X Series bongo rims in the corresponding size. The stated head size refers to the crown diameter (the largest shell diameter of bongos and djembes), harmonized with REMO's and LP's conga head sizes. For LP bongos in 5 1/2", 7 1/4" or 8 5/8" sizes, choose the 5 1/4", 7" or 8.5" head respectively.
