Gretsch Keith Carlock Signature 14x5,5" - Vintage Patina

Product Description

The Keith Carlock Signature Snare Drum is Gretsch's collaboration with the drummer known for his work with Steely Dan, Toto, Sting and John Mayer, among many others. Built from a brass shell with an aged Vintage Patina finish, it's designed to cover the wide range of sounds studio work demands.

Keith has always admired brass shell snares with a visually aged, fatigued look. One of his key requirements was a drum that could handle a wide range of sound applications, and that's where the development started.

The drum's foundation is a 5.5x14" 2mm Vintage Patina brass shell. The antique look throughout the shell comes from a unique aging compound developed at the Gretsch factory in Ridgeland, South Carolina. To increase dynamics and pitch range, Keith preferred a 20-strand snare wire over a 42-strand, and opted for a standard Permatone drumhead rather than Permatone Control Sound.
