The KD-7 is a kick trigger for Roland's V-Drums system that lets you keep using your favorite bass drum pedal instead of a dedicated kick pad. Simply swap the standard beater on your pedal for the KD-7's reversed beater, and the pedal will trigger sounds in your V-Drums module just like a regular kick pad would.
It's a good option if you're already happy with the feel of your acoustic bass drum pedal and don't want to compromise on playing feel when moving to an electronic kit. The pedal itself is not included, only the reversed beater.
