Meinl Percussion KA5-S
Meinl kalimba with open sound box and built-in mic. Perfect for melodic loops.
Product Description
The Meinl Kalimba KA5-S is a small thumb piano with an open sound box, designed for groovy rhythmic and melodic loops. The open construction lets you create wah-wah effects, and a built-in microphone makes it easy to amplify the instrument directly.
The kalimba, or thumb piano, is played by plucking the tines with your thumbs, and works just as well for relaxed home playing as for building loops and rhythmic patterns in a larger context. The simple, open sound box lets you shape the tone by covering and opening the sound hole with your hand. A classic technique for kalimba playing.
Tuning
The Small model is tuned g#, C, f´, f, C'''.
