Drumming Out Of The Shadows

Product Description

Jason Bittner, drummer for Shadows Fall, is one of metal's most respected drummers. "Drumming Out Of The Shadows" is a unique instructional book and CD package featuring transcriptions personally edited by Bittner himself. A great pick if you want to play along or study his approach in detail.

Created in collaboration with Joe Bergamini, the book covers three Shadows Fall albums. It includes note-for-note transcriptions of the drum parts to 15 songs from The War Within, personally edited by Bittner, exclusive interviews, diagrams of his drum setups, personal memories from the studio, a special section of double bass drum exercises, and photos from Bittner's private collection.

Play along with the band

The accompanying CD contains the entire War Within album, winner of the 2005 Modern Drummer Readers Poll Award for Best Recorded Performance. It's taken from the band's original master but with the drum parts removed, letting you play along with the rest of the band exactly as Bittner did. This type of CD accompaniment was a first in print music at the time of release.
