ProMark JH1 Jonathan Haas Timpani Series
Timpani mallets from ProMark, Jonathan Haas Timpani Series, with oak handle and German felt head. Delivers ultra staccato articulation.
Product Description
The JH1 is a timpani mallet from ProMark's Jonathan Haas Timpani Series, developed with timpanist Jonathan Haas. It features a Japanese oak handle and a head covered in German felt with a parachute-style covering, a combination that adds weight without increasing diameter.
The added weight in the handle gives the mallet enhanced projection without making it bulkier in the hand. Useful when you need to be heard clearly in the orchestra without losing feel in the grip. The German felt head delivers a clean, controlled attack, and the mallet is built for ultra staccato articulation, meaning a very short and distinct response suited to fast, precise passages.
