Istanbul Mehmet Traditional Crash Paper Thin Crash Cymbal

Product Description

The Traditional Crash Paper Thin is a hand-hammered crash cymbal from Istanbul Mehmet, made in the traditional Turkish way and available in sizes from 14 to 20 inches. The thin, paper-light construction gives a fast-responding, open crash sound suited to most musical styles.

Istanbul Mehmet has been crafting cymbals in Turkey since the 1800s, known for exceptional craftsmanship and a legendary sound among drummers worldwide. The Traditional series continues that heritage.

Sound Character

As the name suggests, this cymbal has a warm, dynamic and highly musical sound. It's versatile and allround rather than specialized, making it a great fit no matter what genre you play. The Paper Thin construction lets it respond quickly and openly to light strokes, while still holding character under harder playing.

Available Sizes

The cymbal comes in seven sizes: 14", 15", 16", 17", 18", 19" and 20". The sound character is shared across the series, but smaller sizes respond faster while larger sizes offer more volume and longer sustain.

Who It's For

A great choice if you want a versatile, inspiring crash cymbal with traditional Turkish craftsmanship and character, for the vast majority of musical settings.
