• Made by Istanbul Mehmet, a historic Turkish brand
• Available in seven sizes, from 14" to 20"

Construction and sound

The Radiant series is built heavier and thicker than Istanbul's Traditional series. The added weight gives the cymbal a more direct, powerful and cutting sound compared to thinner, more traditionally built models. The combination of thicker metal and a high-gloss polished surface also gives the cymbal a modern, distinct character, both visually and in tone. That makes the Radiant Crash Medium a good option when the crash needs to be clearly heard in a denser mix, for example in a full band sound with guitars, bass and vocals.

Sizes to choose from

The Radiant Crash Medium is sold in seven sizes: 14", 15", 16", 17", 18", 19" and 20". All sizes share the same construction, thickness and surface finish, but a smaller cymbal generally responds faster while a larger one gives more volume and longer sustain. The right size depends on how much space the crash needs to take up in your setup and the character you want on your accents.

About Istanbul Mehmet

Istanbul Mehmet makes cymbals the traditional way, with high craftsmanship as the goal at every step of the process. Turkish cymbal makers have supplied drummers worldwide with high-quality cymbals since the 1800s, and Istanbul Mehmet continues that legacy with modern series like Radiant, while keeping the foundation of traditional Turkish cymbal craft intact.

Who it's for

A good choice for rock and pop players who want a crash with a clear attack and enough power to cut through a fully instrumented mix. The heavier, thicker build also makes it an option for players who find thinner, more traditionally built crash cymbals too bright or too quickly buried in the mix.
