Istanbul Mehmet Nostalgia 50S Ride Sizzle Ride Cymbal

Product Description

The Nostalgia 50S Ride Sizzle is a ride cymbal from Istanbul Mehmet, made for drummers who want the warm, slightly rustic sound of old vintage jazz cymbals. The built-in sizzle rivets add a subtle, sustained shimmer on top of the stick attack.

Istanbul Mehmet has been crafting cymbals in the traditional way since the 1800s, and the Nostalgia series is designed specifically for jazz drummers chasing the sound of earlier eras rather than a modern, bright character. The Sizzle version has rivets fitted directly into the cymbal, giving a continuous, soft sizzle layered over the normal stick sound. A classic effect found on many vintage jazz cymbals.

The result is a cymbal with real character: a darker, more complex sound with a clear vintage feel rather than a clean, modern voice.

Who It's For

A good choice if you play jazz or other acoustic styles and want a ride cymbal with historic tonal character and built-in sizzle, without having to add loose rivets yourself.
