Istanbul Mehmet Legend Dark Ride Cymbal
Ride cymbal from Istanbul Mehmet's Legend Dark series. Traditionally lathed underside gives a dark tone and clear stick definition.
Product Description
The Istanbul Legend Dark Ride is a ride cymbal from Istanbul Mehmet's Jazz Line, handcrafted using traditional Turkish cymbal-making methods. The underside has a traditional lathing that reduces overtones, giving a darker tone and clearer stick definition. Ideal if you want your playing to cut through clearly without excess overtone wash.
Istanbul Mehmet has made cymbals in the traditional way since Turkish cymbal makers began supplying drummers worldwide with high-quality cymbals in the 1800s. That heritage shows in the Legend Dark series' handcrafted finish.
Tone and Attack
The traditional lathing on the underside tames the overtones compared to an unlathed surface, resulting in a darker tone with a clearer, more defined stick attack in the mix. A great choice for jazz and other settings where a controlled, well-defined ride sound is needed.
This cymbal is available in several sizes within this product group, selectable in the variant picker.
