Product Description
The Istanbul Legend Dark Crash 18" is a crash cymbal from Istanbul Mehmet's Jazz Line Legend Dark series, hand-crafted in Turkey in the traditional manner. The underside features traditional lathing, giving fewer overtones, a darker tone and a more defined attack. A great choice for jazz players who want a cymbal with clear character and controlled sound.
Istanbul Mehmet has been supplying drummers worldwide with high-quality, hand-crafted cymbals since the 1800s, and the legendary brand remains known for its craftsmanship and sound.
Tone and Playability
The lathed underside of the Legend Dark series reduces overtones compared to unlathed counterparts, resulting in a darker, more focused tone with clearer stick definition on attack. Qualities that make this cymbal especially useful in jazz settings where a controlled, defined sound is desired.
