21" Istanbul Mehmet Legend Ride Sizzle Ride Cymbal
21" ride cymbal, Istanbul Mehmet Legend Sizzle, smaller cup, thin lathing. Rich, warm jazz tone.
Product Description
The Istanbul Mehmet Legend Ride Sizzle is a 21" ride cymbal built for jazz playing, featuring a smaller cup, special thin lathing and built-in sizzle rivets for an airy, shimmering undertone. Developed with input from jazz drummers, it delivers a rich, warm and natural sound with clear stick definition.
The smaller cup and the special thin lathing are central to its character, giving the cymbal an open, singing quality rather than a heavy or aggressive one, exactly what jazz playing calls for. The cymbal is made using Istanbul Mehmet's legendary Turkish cymbal making process.
Sound and Feel
The sizzle rivets add a subtle, shimmering undertone to every stick strike, sitting beneath the main tone without overpowering it. Combined with the warm, natural overall sound, this makes the cymbal well suited to acoustic jazz settings where nuance and dynamics matter.
Who It's For
A great choice for jazz drummers who want a traditional ride with added texture in the sound, without losing the warmth and natural character that defines Istanbul Mehmet's Legend series.
