21" Istanbul Mehmet 61st Anniversary Classic Ride Sizzle Ride Cymbal

Product Description

The Istanbul Mehmet 21" 61st Anniversary Classic Ride Sizzle is a ride cymbal with built-in sizzle rivets, made to mark 61 years of traditional Turkish cymbal craftsmanship. It has a small, very smooth bell bridge, a dark tone with limited overtones, and woody stick definition.

The cymbal is made by Mehmet Tamdeger, who began learning this ancient Turkish craft at the age of nine under Mikael Zilcan. Grandson of Kerope Zilcan. And Kirkor Kucukyan. After more than 60 busy years at cymbal making, he remains proud to continue producing original, traditional Turkish cymbals for today's modern music.

Sound and Feel

The small, very smooth bell bridge gives a dark tone with limited overtones. A classic, controlled ride sound. Stick definition is woody and clear, making timekeeping patterns easy to pick out in the mix. The built-in sizzle rivets add a subtle, sizzling texture to every stroke without overpowering the core tone.

Who It's For

A great choice if you want a traditionally hammered ride with a dark, controlled character and an extra textural layer from the sizzle effect. Without losing clarity in your stick definition.
