The Integral Close Miking System is a complete mic system built into your guitar or bass cab, capturing sonically accurate, balanced analogue sound straight from the speaker. It's installed permanently inside the cabinet and terminates in a standard XLR connector, ready for the mixing desk on stage or in the studio.

How It Works

Integral is installed as a passive, fit-and-forget system inside an open- or closed-back speaker cabinet or combo. A circular, rigid frame is mounted internally against the cabinet's baffle and held in place by the speaker itself, no screws or adhesive needed.

At its centre sits a high-quality super cardioid dynamic microphone capsule with an exceptional full-range frequency response and extended dynamic range, aimed off-axis toward the speaker's sweet spot, off-centre and toward the outer edge of the cone, for unadulterated analogue audio.

The Pepper Pot Design

The ergonomic domed "pepper pot" housing serves two purposes: it houses and positions the microphone capsule, and it also acts as a sonic diffuser. It calms the harsher frequencies emanating from the centre of the speaker while enhancing and redirecting punchy mids and highs toward the capsule, letting the audio cut through the mix.
