Infinity Grid EZX is an expansion for EZdrummer 3 and Superior Drummer 3, featuring three unique, dark and massive-sounding drum kits recorded together with Jay Postones of TesseracT. Built for modern and progressive metal, it delivers crushing weight alongside dynamic, articulate detail.

All kits were recorded in the Back Stage room of the Sound Stage Studios in Nashville by engineer Steve Blackmon. The room is reflective enough for the drums to sing, yet tight enough that the natural reverb never drowns out detail—resulting in drums that are brutally dark, hard-hitting and punchy while remaining vibrantly articulate and dynamic.

Mix-Ready Presets

Beyond the drums and the room, the sound is shaped by layered one-shot samples that add attack, smack and depth to the kicks and snares. Engineered by Steve Blackmon and Toontrack together with TesseracT guitarist Acle Kahney, the presets deliver mix-ready drums that cut fiercely through any mix. For a rawer sound without saturation or added textures, an Original Mix preset is available for each kit.

Feel and Content

Jay Postones' signature snap, weight and nuance come through in every hit—from crushing kicks and snares to the most delicate ghost notes and paradiddle-driven subtleties. The expansion also includes a basic collection of MIDI grooves and fills performed by Jay Postones.
