In The Pocket EZX

Product Description

In The Pocket EZX is a Toontrack sound expansion for EZdrummer and Superior Drummer, recorded by session drummer Ash Soan at his own studio, The Windmill. It delivers organic yet fresh modern beats through five core kit variations and a wide range of presets built for hip-hop, soul, R&B and reggae production.

• Five core kit variations, heavily treated and engineered by Ash Soan
• Recorded at The Windmill, an 18th century mill turned drum room
• Several extra kicks, snares and percussion pieces beyond the core kits
• A broad range of presets for a variety of sounds
• A MIDI library of grooves and fills performed by Ash Soan

Behind the sound

Ash Soan has recorded with artists like Dua Lipa, Alicia Keys and Taylor Swift, yet he rarely tracks in a big metropolitan studio. Instead he records a stone's throw from his front door, in The Windmill. A small, cylinder-shaped 18th century mill turned drum room whose unique acoustics have shaped countless modern hits.

Who It's For

In The Pocket EZX suits producers and writers who want an organic but distinctly modern drum sound at the core of their tracks. Five core kits, a wealth of extra kicks, snares and percussion, and Ash Soan's own MIDI grooves make this a versatile toolkit for hip-hop, soul, contemporary R&B and modern reggae. And a direct line to the pocket of one of today's most in-demand session drummers.
