Junior Celeste
Pentatonic kalimba with built-in pickup from South Africa. 11 notes: G, A, B, D, E, G, A, B, D, E, G.
Product Description
The Hugh Tracey Junior Celeste is a pentatonic kalimba with a built-in pickup, handmade in South Africa. Its flat wooden resonator gives a warm tone that blends wood and metal, and the pickup makes it easy to plug into an amp or mixer for stage and studio use.
The kalimba produces 11 notes at 440 Hz: G, A, B, D, E, G, A, B, D, E, G. The pentatonic scale means you can't play a "wrong" note, making the instrument approachable even if you've never played a kalimba before.
