The Tama Speed Cobra HP310L is a single bass drum pedal built to be fast, powerful and easy to control – whether you're playing heavy, slow grooves or ultra-fast blast beats. It's a stripped-down version of Tama's best-selling Speed Cobra, sharing the same core feel but with fewer fine-tuning options and a lower price.

Feel and Playability

The footboard is longer than on a standard pedal, which keeps the Speed Cobra easy to drive and accelerates the beater's speed and power. The extra length gives you room for heel-toe technique, and the low-friction surface makes it easier to slide your foot forward for the second stroke of a double stroke.

The sprocket is round (Recessed Setting/Lite Sprocket), giving the pedal a naturally responsive, hyper-fast feel without losing power. The wheel is also 40% lighter than the equivalent on the Tama Iron Cobra – less weight to move means less muscle fatigue during long, fast playing sessions.

Adjustment

Spring tension and beater angle are both adjustable, so you can fine-tune the pedal to your playing style. The bass drum beater is reversible, with felt on one side and plastic on the other, giving you two different attack characters without swapping beaters.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want the versatility and feel of the Speed Cobra line but don't need all the extra adjustment options offered by the best-selling HP910 – at a more stripped-down price.
