Hip-Hop Grooves MIDI

Product Description

Hip-Hop Grooves MIDI is a MIDI pack from Toontrack (model TT310) drawing on the full legacy of hip-hop, from 1970s funk and 1980s rap through to today's trap and old-school sounds. Every groove is performed by a live session drummer, giving the material the feel and touch that's hard to program from scratch.

• Grooves from approximately 70 tracks, each with several alternative variations
• Wide range of styles: boom bap, Detroit offbeat, old-school rap, trap, G-funk, new jack swing and more
• Played by a live session drummer, not programmed
• Works with EZdrummer, EZdrummer 2, Superior Drummer 2 and Superior Drummer 3

Feel and construction

What makes hip-hop drums hard to nail isn't the note values themselves but exactly where they land relative to the beat, before, on or just off it. This pack builds its entire content around that feel rather than quantized patterns, making the grooves directly usable in your own productions with minimal further editing.

Compatibility

The MIDI files are optimized for a kit with 1 kick, 1 snare, 2 toms, 1 floor tom, 2 crash cymbals and 1 ride cymbal, and work in EZdrummer, EZdrummer 2, Superior Drummer 2 and Superior Drummer 3. Please note this MIDI pack is not included in the Hip-Hop! EZX, it's a standalone add-on.

Who it's for

A good choice if you produce hip-hop, trap or related genres and want grooves with genuine human feel instead of machine-quantized patterns, whether you're building a track from scratch or replacing a programmed drum beat.
