Hi-hat, DW 5000

Product Description

The DW 5000 hi-hat stand is built for drummers who want precise pedal feel and a stand that doesn't take up unnecessary space on stage or in the rehearsal room. A ball-bearing footboard hinge, articulated memory locks, and smart leg design make it both precise and practical for everyday playing.

• Foldable legs that tuck neatly against the base plate
• Delta Ball-Bearing Hinge, patented footboard hinge with bearings on both sides
• Bearing Link Connector, reduces friction and increases sensitivity between footboard and rod
• Articulated memory locks for exact positioning
• DW SM379 hi-hat clutch included
• Lateral Cymbal Seat, smart solution for tilting the bottom cymbal
• Reversible legs

Playing Feel

The Delta Ball-Bearing Hinge lets the footboard move smoothly and without play thanks to bearings on both sides. Combined with the Bearing Link Connector, which reduces friction between footboard and rod, sensitivity is noticeably improved. The result is a stand that responds precisely whether you play soft or hard.

Construction

The legs are foldable and tuck neatly against the base plate when folded, making it easy to pack up after playing. The legs are also reversible, letting you adapt the footprint to your setup. The articulated memory locks let you return to the exact same position every time you set the stand up, and the Lateral Cymbal Seat offers a smart way to tilt the bottom cymbal to taste.

Who It's For

A great choice if you already have, or plan to build, a rack or stand setup with multiple stands close together and want a hi-hat stand that fits in without taking up too much floor space. Also suits players who want precise control over pedal feel.
