Meinl Percussion Headliner HCAJ1-NT

Product Description

The Meinl Headliner Cajon HCAJ1-NT is a standard-size cajon that delivers both deep bass tones and snappy attack from the same box. Strings and tuning screws on the inside of the front plate let you fine-tune the sound to taste, and the non-slip seating surface keeps you in place even during energetic playing.

• Internal strings against the front plate give snap and attack
• Adjustable screws on the inside of the front plate shape the tone
• Non-slip seating surface
• Rubber feet on the underside for stability
• Shell and front plate in Rubber Wood (Hevea brasiliensis Muell.-Arg.)

Sound and Construction

The front plate is made from Rubber Wood, the same material used throughout the cajon shell. This gives a balanced tone with clear attack when the internal strings are engaged against the front plate. The screws at the top of the front plate let you adjust string tension and shape the character, from cleaner bass tones to a snappier, snare-like sound.

Playing Feel

The non-slip seating surface keeps you steady even during faster playing and heavier hits. The rubber feet on the underside keep the cajon in place on the floor, regardless of surface.

Dimensions

The cajon measures approximately 46 cm in height, 29 cm in width and 31 cm in depth, a classic standard size.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want a reliable standard cajon for rehearsals, home practice or smaller acoustic gigs, without needing to fine-tune extensively to get a usable sound right away.

The Meinl MSTCJB and MCJB bags fit this cajon, if you want to protect and transport the instrument.
