The Tama Roadpro HC84BW is a heavy-duty boom stand with double-braced legs and a 580 mm boom arm fitted with a counterweight, keeping the stand stable even with heavy cymbals mounted far out on the arm.
Updated in 2015, this Roadpro model features the Glide-Tite Grip Joint, the same technology found on Tama's Star Hardware series. The joint uses protective nylon bushings together with a metal-to-metal lock that grips the tubes firmly without scratching the finish. Cymbals attach via a QC8 Quick Set Cymbalmate, and the angle is set instantly with the infinite Quick-Set tilter.
The boom arm can be tucked in to convert the stand into a straight cymbal stand when the boom isn't needed, making the HC84BW a flexible choice for both the rehearsal room and the stage.
