If you're building your own hand drum – a bodhran, a shaman drum, or something entirely of your own design – this is a solid starting point. The shell is made from a single piece of unfinished maple, not laminated, giving you a natural, sturdy base to work from.
Since these shells are handmade, dimensions can vary slightly from piece to piece. The shell arrives raw: you should expect to do your own edge finishing and final sanding/planing before it's ready for a head. The shell is available in several diameters, so you can pick the size that matches the instrument you're building. All variants are sold individually.
