Gretsch Renown Maple 8"x7" - Champagne Sparkle
Gretsch Renown Maple tom in 7-ply maple, 8x7" Champagne Sparkle finish. Warm, focused tone with clear attack.
Product Description
The Renown Maple from Gretsch is a mounted tom built from a 7-ply maple shell, seen here in Champagne Sparkle finish. The combination of maple, a 30° bearing edge and Gretsch's Silver Sealer inner coating gives it a warm, focused tone with clear attack.
The shell is built from 7 plies of maple with a 30° bearing edge, giving the drum a full low end without losing definition on the attack. The inside of the shell is treated with Gretsch's own Silver Sealer coating, designed to help keep the tone consistent over time.
The hoops are Gretsch's own 302 steel hoops, a classic design that keeps the head seated firmly and contributes to the drum's characteristic response. The tom is mounted using Gretsch's Low Profile Tom mounting system (12.7 mm), a low-mass mount that lets the shell resonate more freely compared to older, more invasive mounting systems.
Hardware is chrome-plated, and the drum ships with Remo heads on both batter and resonant side, ready to play out of the box.
