Product Description
This Gretsch USA snare drum has a polished 1.0mm bronze shell (14" x 6.5") built for drummers who want a bright, open sound with plenty of attack. Made in the U.S.A. with details like die-cast hoops and Remo heads, it's a snare you can rely on to hold its tuning and its character night after night.
Sound
The bronze shell is polished and just 1.0mm thick, giving an open, cutting tone with plenty of overtone content – a classic metal snare sound with both warmth and edge. A 45° bearing edge keeps the response focused and makes the drum easy to tune precisely.
Construction and details
Die-cast hoops give the drum stable tuning and a tighter, more focused sound compared to pressed hoops. The 42-strand snare wire delivers fast, sensitive response, controlled by Gretsch's Micro Sensitive snare throw-off for fine adjustment of wire tension against the head. The drum also features Gretsch's Snap-in Key Holder, keeping a drum key close at hand at all times. Both batter and snare-side heads are Remo.
