Gretsch shell set Renown Maple, Vintage Pearl

Product Description

Today's working drummers need a kit that can do it all—and do it well. The Gretsch Renown Maple shell pack, in Vintage Pearl finish, gives you the sensitivity for the smoothest grooves, the attack for powerful compositions and the clarity needed to nail clean studio sounds. This set ships without snare drum and without cymbals.

Renown still features the classic 7-ply Gretsch formula maple shells, with 30-degree bearing edges and the exclusive "Silver Sealer" interior coating. This Renown comes with Gretsch's player-friendly "302" steel hoop—the same hoop used on Gretsch's Brooklyn and Broadkaster series drums. The 302 hoop produces the focused sound of a die-cast hoop, but is lighter in weight and less rigid, letting the drum "breathe" and reach maximum resonance. The result is the traditional Gretsch sound with an open, harmonic tone and the versatility that today's hardest-working drummers demand.

Construction and hardware

Toms mount via the "Low Profile" tom mounting system, and the bass drum carries round Gretsch tom brackets. Hardware is chrome-plated, and the set ships with Remo heads and an included double tom holder.
