Gretsch shell set Renown Maple, Silver Oyster Pearl

Product Description

The Gretsch Renown Maple shell set is built on the classic Gretsch formula: 7-ply maple shells, 30-degree bearing edges and the well-regarded 302 hoop. The result is a versatile drum set with an open, harmonic tone that handles everything from sensitive grooves to powerful compositions.

Today's working drummers need a kit that can do it all—and do it well. Renown is one of the most versatile drum sets ever made. With one drum set, you can play with the sensitivity and touch to handle the smoothest grooves, the attack and projection required to drive the most powerful compositions, and the clarity and vibrance needed to faithfully reproduce clean studio sounds.

Construction

Renown still features the classic 7-ply Gretsch formula maple shells, with 30-degree bearing edges and exclusive "Silver Sealer" interiors. This Renown comes with Gretsch's player-friendly "302" hoop—the same hoop used on Gretsch's Brooklyn and Broadkaster series drums. Gretsch 302 hoops produce the desirable focused sound like that of a die cast hoop, but are lighter in weight and less rigid, allowing the drum to better "breathe" and achieve maximum resonance.

Details and Hardware

Renown carries the traditional Gretsch appointments: a lightweight, off-the-shell mounting system, distinctively styled lugs, brackets, memory locks and bass drum spurs, plus the classic "T-Wing" screw. The bass drum has round Gretsch tom brackets, and the hardware is chrome-plated. The kit ships with Remo heads, and a single tom holder is included.

Who It's For

A kit for drummers who want traditional Gretsch tone with modern, player-friendly details—equally at home in the rehearsal room and the studio.
