Gretsch Renown Maple RN2-E823 - Satin Tobacco Burst

Product Description

The Renown Maple is Gretsch's mid-tier series built with a 7-ply maple shell, and this shell pack in Satin Tobacco Burst delivers a warm, full tone with strong projection. A great choice if you want to build your own kit with your own cymbals and snare.

The shells are built from 7 plies of maple with a 30° bearing edge, giving the drums an open, resonant sound with clear attack. The inner shell is treated with Gretsch's Silver Sealer coating, which protects the wood and helps keep the tone consistent over time.

Hardware and Construction

The drums feature Gretsch 302 steel hoops and chrome hardware throughout. The rack tom sits in a Low Profile mounting system that minimizes shell contact for freer resonance, while the bass drum uses round Gretsch tom brackets. A single tom holder is included.

The set ships with Remo heads fitted and is marked RN2-E823. Cymbals are not included.

Who It's For

Suited to players who want a maple shell with classic, warm Gretsch tone and want to build the rest of the kit to their own taste.
