Construction
The 7-ply maple shell gives the Renown Maple a full, resonant core tone, and the 30° bearing edge adds warmth and clear projection. The shells are treated internally with Gretsch Silver Sealer, a coating that protects the wood and evens out resonance. The hoops are Gretsch 302 steel hoops, a classic hoop type that adds a stable, defined attack.
Mounting
The rack tom mounts via Gretsch's Low Profile system, reducing contact with the head for freer resonance. The bass drum features round Gretsch tom brackets for mounting the rack tom, a classic detail of the Gretsch look.
What's Included
The shell pack includes a 12"x8" tom, a 16"x14" floor tom and a 22"x18" bass drum. A single tom holder is included. Cymbals are not included.
Who It's For
A good choice if you want to build your own kit from the shells up, or add a shell set in classic Gretsch quality to an existing setup.
