Gretsch shell set Renown Maple Piano White

Product Description

Renown Maple is Gretsch's mid-tier drum line, and this shell pack comes in the Piano White finish. The shells are built from 7-ply maple with a 30-degree bearing edge, delivering Gretsch's characteristic warm tone with clear projection.

• 7-ply maple shell with 30° bearing edge
• Silver Sealer inner shell coating
• Gretsch 302 steel hoop
• Low Profile tom mounting system for freer shell resonance
• Round Gretsch tom brackets on the bass drum
• Chrome hardware throughout
• Remo heads as standard

Construction

The 7-ply maple shell combined with a 30-degree bearing edge is a classic Gretsch configuration, giving a round, focused attack with plenty of low end. The Silver Sealer inner shell coating protects the wood and helps deliver an even, open tone. The hoops are Gretsch's own 302 steel hoops, a sturdy construction that holds tuning well.

Mounting and hardware

The toms sit in Gretsch's Low Profile mounting system, isolating the tom from shell vibrations for longer sustain and a more open sound. The bass drum uses Gretsch's round tom brackets. All hardware is chrome-plated.

What's included

The shell pack includes a 13"x9" rack tom, a 16"x16" floor tom and a 24"x14" bass drum. A single tom holder for the rack tom is included. The set ships with Remo heads fitted, but without cymbals.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want to build your own kit with your own choice of snare, cymbals and stands, and want a maple shell with Gretsch's classic tone in the low end.
