Construction

The shells are built from seven plies of maple with a 30° bearing edge, giving an open, resonant fundamental tone. Inside, the shells are treated with Gretsch Silver Sealer, a coating that protects the wood and contributes to a clearer tone. The hoops are Gretsch 302 steel hoops, a classic design used across the whole kit.

Mounting and hardware

The rack tom is mounted using Gretsch's Low Profile system, which keeps the mount away from the shell's vibrating surface for better resonance. The bass drum uses round Gretsch tom brackets of the classic style. All hardware in the set is chrome-plated.

Heads and delivery

The kit ships with Remo heads already fitted on every drum, along with a single tom holder for the rack tom. Cymbals are not included.
