Construction

The shells are built from 7 plies of maple with a 30° bearing edge, giving the drums a warm yet clear and focused tone. The inside is treated with Gretsch Silver Sealer, a coating that helps keep the tone consistent across the whole set. The round tom brackets on the bass drum and the Low Profile mounting system on the rack tom are classic Gretsch solutions that let the shell resonate as freely as possible.

Hardware and heads

The hoops are Gretsch 302 steel and all hardware is chrome-plated. The drums ship with Remo heads fitted, plus a single tom holder for mounting the rack tom.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want to build your own kit from the shells up and choose your own cymbals, or if you want to upgrade an existing set with high-quality maple shells. The pack ships without cymbals.
