Gretsch shell set Catalina Club Sahara Sparkle, CT1-J484-SSP

Product Description

The Catalina Club Sahara Sparkle is a Gretsch shell pack with four drums built from 7-ply mahogany shells: a 12"x8" tom, a 14"x14" floor tom, an 18"x14" bass drum and a 14"x5" snare drum. The shells feature a 30° bearing edge and chrome hardware with a 1.6 mm steel hoop, giving a warm, focused tone with solid response. Sold without cymbals or stands, so you can build the kit around your own hardware and cymbal setup.

• 7-ply mahogany shell
• 30° bearing edge
• 1.6 mm steel hoop
• Chrome hardware
• Single tom holder included
• Gretsch heads made by Remo
• Bass drum riser included

Sound and Feel

The mahogany shell construction combined with the 30° bearing edge gives this kit a warm, focused character suited for players who want a classic, musical foundation without an overly open or uncontrolled tone. The chrome hardware and 1.6 mm hoop help the drums hold their tuning.

What's Included

The kit ships with a single tom holder already mounted, plus a bass drum riser that lifts the bass drum to proper playing height. The heads are Gretsch's own, made by Remo. Cymbals and stands are not included, this is a pure shell pack you complete as needed.

Who It's For

A good choice if you already own hardware and cymbals and want to build a kit with classic mahogany tone, or if you're upgrading the shells in an existing setup.
