Product Description
The Roland FD-8 is a hi-hat controller for Roland's V-Drums system that lets you play with your foot the way you would on an acoustic hi-hat. Instead of a simple open/closed switch, it tracks the movement between positions in stages, giving you smooth, musical transitions. A great choice if you want more expressive, dynamic hi-hat playing from your electronic kit.
Many basic hi-hat solutions only offer two states: fully open or fully closed. The FD-8 is built to emulate a real hi-hat pedal, giving you a continuous range between the two extremes - from tight, closed eighth notes to loose, open strokes, the same nuances you're used to from an acoustic hi-hat.
The design has been updated to match the newer look of Roland's V-Tour and V-Compact series, so it blends in well with a modern V-Drums setup.
