Funk Riffs

Product Description

Funk Riffs is a MIDI pack for EZkeys from Toontrack, packed with piano riffs in a funk style spanning the 1970s to today. It includes ten complete "songs" organized into intros, themes, solos, vamps and outros, ready to edit and build on using EZkeys' own onboard MIDI tools.

The riff is the centerpiece of funk, and that's exactly what this pack delivers: smooth grooves, staccato rhythms and syncopated themes that give you a ready-made foundation to write from. The material draws on both the genre's classic pioneers and today's funk sound, so the pack works equally well for a retro feel or a modern production.

Content and structure

• Piano/keyboard riffs inspired by funk from the 1970s through to today
• 10 different "songs" with several variations in each
• Organized in Intros, Themes, Solos, Vamps and Outros folders
• 4/4 time in straight and/or swing feel, tempos ranging from 92 to 144 BPM
• Fully editable in EZkeys using the program's onboard MIDI editing tools

Who It's For

A good choice for songwriters and producers who want authentic, ready-made funk ideas to build from instead of programming everything from scratch. Works well both for quickly sketching a song structure and for picking individual riffs to use in your own compositions.
