The Remo Emperor Coated 20" is a two-ply (2-ply) bass drum head with a matte coated finish, built to give your bass drum a full, controlled tone without losing warmth. It's one of the most widely used heads for bass drums thanks to its sturdy build and predictable sound.

Sound Character

The double-ply construction, made from two layers of 10 mil film, naturally dampens overtones for a tight, controlled bass drum sound with a solid low end and a clear response at the point of the beater strike. The coated finish adds warmth and softens the top end slightly compared to a clear head, while the batter head holds up well to hard playing without losing tuning. Construction
