Product Description
RimGroover is a maple playing surface that mounts onto the hoop, giving you a completely different sound and feel on rimshots and rim clicks. With 14 plies of maple between the stick and the metal hoop, you get a full, organic wooden sound added to the usual rimshot crack.
The maple surface also makes playing more comfortable – stick impact on your wrist is noticeably reduced compared to hitting the bare metal hoop directly. That's especially welcome during heavy rim click playing, whether it's a pop groove or a long rehearsal session. As a bonus, it's gentler on your gear too: both drumsticks and rods last longer than they would against bare metal.
