Product Description
DrumDial (model DD, item numbers 840DD/840DDC) is a small measuring tool that reads the head tension at each tension rod on a drum, letting you tune every drum quickly and to exactly the same tension all the way round the head. It works completely silently, which makes it easy to tune even in noisy environments or without striking the head at all.
How the measurement works
Simply place DrumDial on the drumhead and read the value directly off the dial. Then work your way around the head at each tension rod, adjusting until the readings match. Because DrumDial measures the actual tension in the head - not how far you've turned the tension rod - the result is far more precise than tuning by feel or by ear alone. This matters especially on drums with many tension rods, where uneven tension is hard to hear but easy to see on the gauge.

Calibration and Accessories
A dedicated storage case (hardcase) is available as a companion product for DrumDial. The case has double-reinforced sides and shock-absorbing material that keeps your DrumDial safely stored. It also includes a spacer plate and a glass plate to place the DrumDial on for smooth calibration of the instrument. Note that the DrumDial gauge itself (840DD/840DDC) is sold separately from the storage case - the case is not included with this product and is a separate accessory to add on.
