Indie, folk and unconventional grooves

The Indie Folk and Indiependent titles bring a fearless collection of grooves that stray well beyond conventional drumming, twisting and questioning traditional rock and pop defaults. As one of the drummers, Stephen Belans, puts it: "There is no law that says a drum beat requires eighth notes on the hi-hat. Or even a hi-hat at all."

Classic rock, jazz and reggae

The Classic MIDI title features former Paul McCartney and Dire Straits drummer Chris Whitten revisiting some of his biggest classic rock hits. Basic Jazz and Reggae dive into an entirely different field, exploring the roots and origins of jazz and reggae drumming.

Soul and the Motown heritage

Soul Grooves explores the origins of soul, from the Motown heritage in the north, along the coast and across the Mississippi delta down to the deep south in Alabama.

All in all, the bundle covers a wide range of genres and styles, a journey through what makes up the heartbeat of many great recordings.
