Product Description
The Gibraltar SC-QRHHDC is a drop clutch for hi-hat that lets you release the cymbal from the clutch quickly, without unscrewing anything. It's based on Gibraltar's SC-QRHHC and built for drummers using double pedals who need to handle the hi-hat smoothly mid-performance.
The built-in quick release lets you mount the hi-hat cymbal onto the clutch fast, without having to thread on a screw mount, making swapping or releasing the cymbal much faster than with a standard clutch. The locking mechanism sits in a sleeve fitted with a spring and ball bearing, the same construction used on the SC-QRHHC, giving a stable and consistent grip on the cymbal.
The drop clutch system is especially useful for double pedal performance, where you can quickly disengage the hi-hat to open up the sound or switch technique without losing time.
