The Donner DED-20 is an ultra-compact electronic drum kit that's fun enough to work as a toy and serious enough to work as a genuine practice instrument. It's used by both kids and adults, and works equally well for casual play as for learning the basics of drumming.

7 pads, 2 pedals and 2 speakers

The DED-20 features 7 silicone pads designed for very low self-noise, so you can practice without disturbing everyone around you. Two foot pedals are included, working as a bass drum and hi-hat pedal. On the back you'll find two 2.2-watt speakers, letting you play right away without any extra gear.

The sounds of the DED-20

The drum sounds are carefully sampled to sound as good as possible, and it's mainly the built-in speakers that set the ceiling for how good it sounds on its own. Plug in headphones or a larger sound system and the quality of the samples comes through much more clearly – handy if you want to impress a bit extra at a party or get-together. The DED-20 also has built-in sounds and songs to play along to, and you can connect an external device to play your own music through it, turning it into a regular music player as well.

Recording and learning

Through the built-in USB-C input you can connect the DED-20 to a computer, for example to use it with various teaching and playing apps, or to record drums directly into your own recording software. The kit can also record up to 180 seconds of drumming internally, great for capturing a quick idea or reviewing your own playing afterwards.
