Product Description
A traditional djembe from Toca, hand-carved from a single piece of plantation-grown mahogany. With rope tuning and a natural skin head, it offers an authentic, classic djembe feel for players who want a genuine acoustic hand drum.
The shell is lathe turned for uniform thickness throughout, giving the drum a balanced and consistent tone. The bowl interior features lathe grooves and rough-surfaced carvings designed to eliminate overtones and produce a cleaner, more focused fundamental tone.
The mahogany comes from environmentally-friendly plantation growth, and each drum is carved from a single piece of wood rather than assembled from multiple parts. Something you can feel in both the drum's character and durability.
