Product Description
A traditional djembe from Toca's Origins Series, carved from a single piece of mahogany and fitted with a natural skin head. The shell is lathe turned for uniform thickness, with a hand-carved bowl interior designed to keep the tone clean and focused.
The bowl interior isn't just hollowed out. It features lathe grooves and a deliberately rough-surfaced carving that eliminates unwanted overtones, giving you a clearer, more defined attack when you play. The mahogany comes from environmentally-friendly plantation-grown trees, so you get a drum with genuine, natural tone without the environmental cost.
This drum carries an African Mask design (part of the Celtic Knot series), giving it a distinct look on top of the playing feel. At 8" in diameter and 16" (40.5 cm) tall, it's a manageable size that works well for practicing at home or for anyone who wants an authentic, rope-tuned djembe with real handcrafted character.
